Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between AP, APA, and Chicago title case?
All three capitalize the first and last words and major words. AP capitalizes words of four or more letters, while APA and Chicago focus on major parts of speech and keep short articles, conjunctions, and prepositions lowercase unless first or last.
Can I capitalize several titles at once?
Yes. Enter one title per line and the tool applies your selected style to each line independently, returning every title formatted in a single pass.
Does it keep short words like 'and', 'the', and 'of' lowercase?
It depends on the style you select. AP, APA, and Chicago keep these small words lowercase unless they fall at the start or end of the title; the Capitalize All Words option capitalizes them too.
Which style should I use for blog post headlines?
AP Style is the most common choice for blog and news headlines and is selected by default, but choose APA or Chicago if your publication or institution requires one of those guides.
Is my text uploaded anywhere when I capitalize a title?
No. The capitalization runs entirely in your browser, so your titles are never sent to a server, and the free tool requires no sign-up.
